JFK Assassination
So the Biden Government have blocked release of the documents and files connected to this.
Well that just about confirms that it was an inside job.

The Oliver Stone film in 1991(?) blew my mind although later realised its inaccuracies and then when I unfortunately got banged up (defending oiks like u lot ;-)), all i had was access to books on it and even to this day, its the most read, learned period of my life where i really got to the bottom of a subject.

does it interest any of you lot? thoughts? stories?

for me, the best "tit bit" is the famous photo of 3 homeless people being marched away from the area as they cleared the scene and turns out 2 of them were high ranking CIA men

I seen your foo-foo

Plenty of groups could have done it, only a small handful benefitted.
Lyndon Baines Johnson is the more obvious that's overlooked in these state sponsored documentaries and how he changed the countries policy towards certain countries seeking nuclear armory that JFK wasn't allowing.

You should give the Nixon tapes a listen, so many excerpts available online now, half of which I've never once seen reported on in the press, heard on radio or TV.

Far more valuable and interesting than what someone saw on a BBC/CNN documentary on telly

So it was a conspiracy by our 4X2ish friends then?

Conspiracy theories aplenty
---snip---
In the 1960s, the CIA Created the Label “Conspiracy Theorists” to attack anyone who challenges the “official” narrative

Summarizing the tactics which the CIA dispatch recommended:

Claim that it would be impossible for so many people would keep quiet about such a big conspiracy

Have people friendly to the CIA attack the claims, and point back to “official” reports

Claim that eyewitness testimony is unreliable

Claim that this is all old news, as “no significant new evidence has emerged”

Ignore conspiracy claims unless discussion about them is already too active

Claim that it’s irresponsible to speculate

Accuse theorists of being wedded to and infatuated with their theories

Accuse theorists of being politically motivated

Accuse theorists of having financial interests in promoting conspiracy theories

The CIA’s clandestine services unit created the arguments for attacking conspiracy theories as unreliable in the 1960s as part of its psychological warfare operations.

---snip---

Amusing to see so many theories being espoused on here, while there's several vectors and possibilities as to who wanted him gone almost all ignoring just who benefited from it, citing BBC and other state sanctioned documentaries and even promoting Hollywood movies as though they'd ever give even an inkling as to who, how and why.

One of the better books applying logic and evidence to the JFK case; if anyone was actually interested, is:
Final Judgment - The missing link in the JFK assassination conspiracy,

It was about 90 yards. That is a close shot.
When I was in the cadets I did a shoot a 1,000 yards and the bull is 10 inches across at that range.

I’m sure I saw that doc about the agent accidentally discharging his M16 from a couple of cars back. A key part of the theory was the different effect the bullet had when it hit his head compared to the previous ‘magic bullet’ hit which didn’t explode The biggest mystery of the 20 century!

I saw the documentary about the M16 negligent discharge killing JFK, but their are many holes in the theory. Here's but one article.

The novels by James Ellroy, American Tabloid and The Cold Six Thousand, are a good fictional version of the six years surrounding the assignation. Highly recommended. It involves all the important players at the time including the mob and the CIA.

Joyo - stone has always been clear that the film used poetic licence. He always said that it was done to get people talking. Watch him on Joe Rogan. It was never supposed to be a documentary or factual. Timeliness were way off. Still is a great film though.

Re: JFK Assassination
Watched two great documentaries on this
The first absolutely destroyed the Oliver Stone film and proved it was a pile of shit and totally full of inaccuracies
The second was how JFK was accidentally killed by the secret service and how they covered it up
Oswald was an above average marksman and got off two shots not three, the third which blew his head off came from an agent with his safety off in the car behind. The US proper embarrassed by this this so will take ages before docs released
Oswald was topped as they didn't want him in court saying he only fired two shots.
No way Cuba involved as yanks would have nuked them if they did it.
Mafia possibly supplied gun to Oswald.

If it was the mafia or just Lee Harvey Oswald then the govt would release the files. Why wouldn’t they?

There’s no way the mafia can get in the earpiece of a presidential bodyguard and tell him to stand down.
